Coffee Morning

Each Tuesday morning we hold a coffee morning from 10am - 12noon.
Tea, coffee, etc and biscuits and scones are provided to a number of village residents.
No charge is made, but many people give a free-will donation, which goes into the "pig" savings box.
The pig is opened when full, and the contents are sent to a mission in Malawi Africa (the Fazakerley family) and a charity in Romania.

Light Lunch

On the first Monday in the month a "light lunch" is held from 11.45am to 12.45pm.

In the colder weather a selection of home-made soups, rolls, cheese and crackers are provided to a number of villagers, and people from the town of Millom (8 miles distant).

In the warmer weather, the meal changes to a salad, meat or cheese.

No charge is made, but many give a free-will donation, which goes towards the cost of the food, and church funds.

Abbeyfield Services

On the third Sunday of each month we hold a service at the Abbeyfield Home, Alexander House, Chapel Lane, Bootle, from 2.30pm to about 3pm

It's attended by large proportion of the residents, some staff members, and Chapel members.

The service is rounded of with a cup of tea or coffee, biscuits, and a chat.

Africa

At most of our events, no charge is made, but many people give a free-will donation, which goes into the "pig" savings box.
The pig is opened when full, and the contents are sent to a mission in Malawi, Africa (the Fazakerley family) and a charity in Romania.
